Here at Daisy's...."The Cooking Crew" is always prepared to participate in a
"Cook-Off " of any kind, especially to help raise money for those in need. This
thoughtful idea came about when, James (a regular) passed away in 2004. His
drinking buddies decided to have a "Rib Cook-Off". Asking a donation of
$5.00 (for a plate of ribs, beans, salad and garlic bread), raised enough money
to help his family take care of unexpected cost. They have continue to do the
"Rib Cook-Off" every October, in Memory of James. This year the "Cooking
Crew" has done a variety of other "Charity Cook-Offs". These events have
been successful, with the help of our fantastic cooks, staff, volunteers and
those who contributed to the cause. We appreciate each and everyone who's
involved. Every event is a worthy one and we take pride in what we do. Thank
you for your support!
